Lauren Shapiro casts and hand-molds fractal shapes in clay based on her observations of natural systems. Fascinated by patterns found in nature, she references the molecular tendencies which arrange into geodesic congregations of shapes and forms. "Turqoise Fruit Stack" is her interpretation of the rhythm and repetition present within a natural ecosystem; a model of the balance and tension employed by nature's design.
