Priscilla Ferguson Florida

Biography

Priscilla Ferguson is a graduate of Florida International University (FIU), where she received a BFA and MFA in Photography. She has taught photography in the Miami-Dade County Public School’s Magnet Arts Program and at FIU. Her work has been exhibited throughout South Florida and can be found in numerous permanent collections, including The Museum of Modern Art, Department of Photography, New York.

 

Her photographs are noted for their humor and whimsy, often portraying people and animals in unlikely encounters. As a fifth generation Floridian, she has a strong affinity for the landscape and people of Florida. 

 

Her works were included the 2018 exhibition, The Invisible Woman, curated by Dr. Carol Damian, and presented at the Concrete Space in Doral. She is in the 1990 publication Fact & Fiction: The State of Florida Photography by Bruce Weber.
